This Cookie Policy explains how MealMint uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies.
MealMint uses essential technologies for login, security, and user preferences, and privacy-oriented analytics to understand product usage. MealMint does not use advertising cookies.
Technologies We Use
- Session cookie: MealMint uses the mealmint_session cookie to keep you logged in. It is HTTP-only, same-site, and expires after the configured session period.
- Paddle checkout technologies: Paddle may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies when you open checkout or manage a creator subscription.
- Local storage: MealMint may store your theme preference so the app can remember light or dark mode.
- Browser extension storage: If you install the optional MealMint Recipe Saver browser extension, it may store your MealMint site URL in extension storage so the extension knows which MealMint site to use. The extension uses your existing MealMint session cookie when you are logged in.
- Progressive Web App storage: If you install MealMint or allow service worker registration, your browser may cache app files locally so pages and assets load faster and limited parts of the app may work offline. Cached content is stored in your browser and can be cleared through browser settings.
- Analytics storage: MealMint may store anonymous analytics identifiers in browser storage so page views and product events can be measured without advertising cookies.
- Security and operational logs: MealMint and its infrastructure providers may record technical events needed to secure and run the service.
Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are required for account login, authentication, security, and core service functionality. Because these are necessary for the service, they are not optional through an in-app cookie banner.
Analytics And Marketing
MealMint uses privacy-oriented analytics to measure page views, navigation, and selected product events so we can understand how the service is used and improve it. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. If we add additional non-essential cookies or trackers later, we will update this Cookie Policy and provide consent controls where required by law.
Payment Processor Cookies
When you use Paddle checkout, Paddle may set cookies or similar technologies needed to process payments, prevent fraud, calculate tax, remember checkout state, and provide subscription management. Those technologies are controlled by Paddle and may be governed by Paddle policies.
Your Choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login or other core features from working. You can clear local storage through your browser settings if you want to reset saved preferences such as theme. You can also unregister or clear site data for MealMint, including any installed app copy and service worker cache, through your browser or device settings.
